Just minutes north of Mendocino Village, the completely restored Point Cabrillo Lighthouse includes the historic 1909 Light Station, Lightkeeper’s Home and over 270 undeveloped acres of coastal bluffs and grasslands.
Once in year when the gray whales migrate along the Mendocino Coast, the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse joins the celebrations with lots of activities for adults and children. The Point Cabrillo bluffs are a perfect spot to watch whales.
A visit to the Point Cabrillo Lighthouse is wonderful experience any time of year. Enjoy the walk, visit the exhibits on the Lighthouse and the shipwreck Frolic or take a guided walks on Sundays.
